ON MY DARKEST DAYS I FOUND PEACE IN A BRUSH STROKE. THE WORK I CREATED EXPRESSED SO MUCH OF WHO I WAS AND WHAT I FELT. IT WAS THEN THAT I REALIZED THE POWER OF ART. WITH TIME I FOUND MYSELF WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO BRING ART, AND THE VERY SENSATION I EXPERIENCED, TO MY COMMUNITY.
A MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE
A Dollar & Some Change was a very important exhibit. It was the last exhibition we did before the pandemic back in 2020. It was a catalyst for the type of exhibits we wanted to put together. Our shows were meant to be meaningful, informative, & thought provoking. Something that would start a conversation and create a deeper engagement from its participants. The conversation around money, capitalisms and its effects on the human race was something everyone could relate to. The exhibit was a big success and the film festival associated with the exhibit brought in many up and coming film makers. Finally, the event was not only sponsored by big brand distilleries, we also had a chance to give a percentage of our earnings to 213 Hospitality-Spirited Coalition for Change organization.
